Beginning Woodworking with Hand Tools – for Kids!

(Ages 6+)

In this one-hour class students will learn the necessary skills to make a small wooden robot that they can decorate when complete! Skills learned will include

1. reading a simple blueprint
2. measuring, squaring, and cutting small pieces of wood
3. light sanding
4. drilling
5. using a screw driver, wood hammer, wood glue for assembly
6. final inspection

Hands tools will be used for all operations and class will begin with a brief review of shop safety.
