Introductory course on basic safety and operation of metalworking equipment at Mill Forge Makerspace. This class will cover all operational stationary power equipment in the metals area, and will provide certification for solo use by Mill Forge Makerspace members.

Anticipated coverage will include:

  • Drill Press
  • Finger Brake
  • Horizontal Band Saw
  • Drill Press
  • Slip Roller
  • Shear
  • Blind Riveter

Appropriate attire required:

  • Long pants
  • Closed-toe shoes (safety or steel toe recommended but optional)
  • No loose clothing, jewelry, or accessories
  • Eye protection (safety glasses will be provided if needed)
  • Long hair tied back/up or securely covered (e.g., under a well-fitting hat)
