TIG (GTAW) Welding Safety
Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding, also called Gas/Tungsten Arc Welding or GTAW, is used in industry & art, and is an effective method for bonding thin metals and softer metals and alloys, including aluminum, thin stainless steel, and some copper alloys like bronze and brass.
This is a safety & introductory class – a great place to begin if you’ve never done TIG welding before! In this class, you will learn the basics of operating multiprocess welders for MIG welding, including
- Connecting & setting gas regulators
- Preparing and fitting the tungsten welding tip
- Setting the machine for the type of material & weld
- Selection of filler metal
- Basic bead laying
