Intro to Metalworking

Introductory course on basic safety and operation of metalworking equipment at Mill Forge Makerspace. This class will cover all operational stationary power equipment in the metals area, and will provide certification for solo use by Mill Forge Makerspace members.

Drill Press
Finger Brake
Sheet metal hand tools
Horizontal Band Saw
Slip Roller
Shear
Pneumatic and Manual Blind Riveter

Like all intro classes at Mill Forge, students will get to build and take home a project using this equipment:

A 5-inch-square galvanized steel box with a round tubular handle.
